Camelot Cellars Winery is an award winning urban boutique winery located in the heart of Columbus, OH in Olde Towne East. Juice is sourced from vineyards worldwide, brought to the winery and fermented on site creating small batch wines.
Janine Aquino took over Camelot Cellars in 2011. Originally from the Hudson Valley area of New York, her family owned John Aquino Sons, Inc., making her a fourth generation wine professional. She grew up on a vineyard and studied food and wine pairings at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Janine envisioned the winery having an Italian inspired eatery when she moved the winery in 2016 from the Short North Arts District. The Osteria was opened at the winery in February 2018, headed up by Chef Ed Bisconti. Both he and Janine have Italian heritage and similar food styles, such as fresh handmade pasta, simple sauces, ingredients that are fresh and simple to create tasty dishes, the essence of Italian cooking.
Cooking classes are a natural extension of a wine and food experience, so Janine decided to start offering offer classes that teach, inspire and help people come together and enjoy some time away from all the hustle and bustle of life.
We offer hands on cooking and wine tasting classes that last about 2-3 hours and include making food from scratch, which you take home. We will be cooking more of the same food in our kitchen for you to dine on, so after the class you will enjoy what we cook for you along with wine tasting. Additional wine and other beverages are available for purchase.
